Firstly thankyou for choosing me to capture your special day!
So what now you ask? Well, booking is easy, to secure the date and officially book me in as your wedding photographer I require a non-refundable deposit of £200. Following this I will send an electronic contract form – don’t worry there’s nothing untoward, this is simply to state the services you’ll be receiving in your package.

Included in all packages is a complimentary pre-wedding consultation, this allows you the opportunity to meet me informally prior to the wedding day! This is a wonderful opportunity for me to get a feel for who YOU are as a couple, talk wedding plans and discuss expectations and shots for the big day!

With booking finalised, I will create you an online portal where you can view all of the documents relating to your wedding photography such as invoices, receipts and contract etc.

You will also be sent an electronic questionnaire. Don’t panic, it’s not a test, but simply a few brief questions to help me gather information regarding timings, events and locations for your wedding day. This helps me put in place an itinerary, so that I know exactly where to be and at what time on the day.

Around a month prior to your wedding I will check in to see if we need to, or if you would like to meet once more. This is a great opportunity for us to have a run-through of plans now everything is finalised for your big day!

I require a non-refundable deposit of £200 upfront to secure the date for you, this will be deducted from the total balance. The remaining balance will need to be paid no-later than a week before the wedding date.

You are welcome to pay the total balance earlier if you wish or in instalments of your choosing. I accept bank transfers, paypal and cash payments.

The option to have an engagement shoot is of course an additional extra and as such isn’t something you necessarily need to do, however most couples choose to take advantage of this opportunity for a few reasons:

It’s a great opportunity for us to get to know one another a little better, which can help eliminate any nerves and anxiety prior to the wedding ensuring the best shots on the big day.  It gives you time in front of the camera together to familiarise yourself with it, even though I’ll be blending in on the day it can still seem a little daunting to some couples!

It’s the chance to get some beautiful shots of you, the happy couple, for the big day to incorporate into the wedding or decor as some of my previous couples have!

And lastly, it’s all a bit of fun!

The Session would normally last sixty to ninety minutes, you’re welcome to set the location, it can be somewhere sentimental to you both or I am happy to make recommendations.  I am of course happy to travel to your desired location however if its out of the Hull area there maybe a small charge for my travel expenses.

Full day coverage usually begins two-hours prior to the service, this will include bride/bridal party or groom preparations and will continue until around thirty minutes after the first dance, or reception begins. This allows maximum opportunity to capture the day as a whole and tell the story from the start until partying off in the night as spouses.

It is simply an informal opportunity for us to meet. I like to meet all of my couples, ideally at the beginning of the booking process. This gives us the opportunity to discuss your wedding plans.

It also enables me to build a timeline of your wedding day and advise you on the photo opportunities we will have in or around your chosen venue – on the rare occasion I am not familiar with a venue, this also allows time for me to scope out and do research for the best spots for the big day!

If you are out of the area and cannot find a suitable time to meet in person I am happy to accommodate and do this via phone call or Skype at your convenience.

For wedding photography I work to a lead-time of 4 weeks to turn around the fully edited day. You will be updated during the process as they could be available before hand depending on my work schedule. I will however send over a few sneak peeks to keep you going within days!

Engagement & Studio Photography I work to have the end product within 2 weeks after you have made your choices from the selection gallery.

Past experience tells me one hour is never enough. This is due to the usual constant stop and start nature of the shoot.  Time is needed to settle your child during the session and also stops for feeding.

Sometimes the whole 2 hours are not needed but it is best to allow for this.

I accept cash, bank transfer and PayPal as methods of payment.  I ask for the booked session balance to be paid on the day. If you wish to purchase additional images after reviewing your selection gallery this would be agreed and invoiced separately.

I am fully insured with public liability and also indemnity insurance for both in my studio and at your wedding location(s).

During capturing your special day my cameras record images to dual storage cards, limiting the risk of storage device failure.

After your special day your images are backed up three-fold.  Firstly to my editing computer in my office.  Secondly they are backup up to online storage hosted by Microsoft. Last but not least an off site copy I store away from my Office and studio that I can always gain access to, such incase of fire or theft.

I can guarantee safe storage of your images for at least 12 months after your special day. After that time I may need to archive or remove them to retain storage for the future.  I always advise my clients to make copies of their images as soon as they receive them.

The same applies to my studio work for engagement, newborn and maternity photography.

In a nutshell…they are pretty safe.

I always shoot with 2 Mirrorless Camera’s, this is one for resilience and two to cut down on time wasted changing lenses.

I have a number of lenses too achieve my style I capture on the day. Also apart from plethora of memory cards (each camera shoots to 2 at once..just in case on fails), batteries etc and I use a number of flash/speed lights.

There are enough spare of everything….just in case.
